microsoft logoWindows Vista Service Pack, as stated on another post of mine is relly close, but no word has been said on the release day by Microsoft. The Service Packs are really many out there, just click here to have a pretty good idea what I am talking about. Anyway there is one of them that is believed, by many people, to be the real one, the RTM version (Release To Manufacturing). This supposed-final version is numbered 6.0.6001.18000 (more detail 6001.18000.080118-1840) and it has been availabe on the Internet for some days. Read this post to know what to do to download it directly from your Windows Vista Download Center. If you don’t want to mess with the registry codes, follow these links to download the standalone versions:

Windows Vista Service Pack 1 x86 (6001.18000 or probably RTM) in 36 Languages: MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.VISTA.SERVICE.PACK.1.x86.RTM.IN.36.LANGUAGE.torrent
Windows Vista Service Pack 1 x86 (6001.18000 or probably RTM) English: MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.VISTA.SERVICE.PACK.1.x86.RTM.ENGLISH.torrent
Windows Vista Service Pack 1 x64 (6001.18000 or probably RTM) in 36 Languages: MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.VISTA.SERVICE.PACK.1.x64.RTM.IN.36.LANGUAGE.torrent
Windows Vista Service Pack 1 x64 (6001.18000 or probably RTM) English: MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.VISTA.SERVICE.PACK.1.x64.RTM.ENGLISH.torrent

Languages include de-DE, en-US, es-ES, fr-FR, ja-JP, zh-TW, ko-KR, bg-BG, cs-CZ, da-DK, el-GR, et-EE, fi-FI, hu-HU, it-IT, lt-LT, lv-LV, nb-NO, nl-NL, pl-PL, pt-PT, ro-RO, sk-SK, sl-SI, sv-SE, ar-SA, he-IL, hr-HR, pt-BR, sr-latn-CS, th-TH, tr-TR, uk-UAa, zh-CN, ru-RU.

Of course noboby knows if they are the real ones or not since Microsoft has not realeased any official report, but you should expect them to be the closest SP you will ever find on the Internet from now to the official release day.

As usual, keep in mind that you have to unistall any previous Service Pack from your machine before installing a new one. The whole procedure is written here.
