Intel Classmate PC

classmate.jpgI am pretty sure you guys are not going to be surprised at all by this news but, since this is my job-like activity, I have to report it. Another ultraportable has been spotted around. This time it is the turn of the megalith company Intel, to unveil another ultraportable whose name is Classmate PC. Originally produced for developing country, after the release of the Asus Eee it is going to hit the USA and Europe markets too. The little baby sports:

  • Intel 900MHz Mobile Processor ULV.
  • 256 or 512MB DDR2 RAM.
  • 7 inch 800 x 480 pixel screen.
  • 1GB to 2G of SSD.
  • Linux or Windows XP.
  • Ethernet and 802.11b/g WiFi.

The price should be around $300 but no word about the release date yet. Stay tuned for more infos.
