If you think that this new ultraportable computer looks exactly like the famous Asus Eee well…you are right! I mean, isn’t that true that the market should diversify its products? So, where are all the nice alternative to the first born ultraportable (Asus Eee)? Maybe it is easier to copy and paste even when it comes to producing laptops. Continue reading »
There are a lot of ways to make your Firefox happy. No, I am not talking about hugging and stroking the red Fox. I am talking about ways to make Firefox more responsive, faster and easier to use. In fact, you can use tons of add-ons or you can even tweak it in order to accelerate certain processes which the browser is supposed to run at a certain time. But I don’t want to write about this stuff, since I have already overflowed Web Talk with it. Today I want to stay on a simpler level. That’s not because I think you are dumb, but just because I think that there are a lot of simple procedures that the average user tends to forget cause he is quite busy to look for the latest hack or trick. Continue reading »

A few months ago I wrote about a nice freeware software called Burn Blue-Ray which lets you burn everything from dvd to blue-ray…for free. Today I want to talk about another freeware burner. Its name is BurnAware Free and despite the fact that is quite light (just 7.0 Mb) it is stuffed with a lot of features. It burns cd, dvd, Blue-Ray and hd-dvd. Its interface is quite easy, minimalist and intuitive and doesn’t confuse the average user with too many options like other famous software do. Continue reading »

I know, I know what you are thinking about. You think that I am taking Google Chrome tricks a little too seriously. But that’s it! There are some many tricks and stuff around the web for the G browser, that it is difficult for me to pretend not to see all these goodies! Anyway, if you wish to open a website in Chrome while you are in Firefox, here is a nice add-on that suits your needs. Continue reading »
If you are a blogger or a webmaster you know only too well how annoying all those spam comments and e-mails are. That’s why we always have to stuff in our web pages tons of plugins and tricks in order to fool those automatic programs and e-mail harvesters which constantly browse the Internet looking for blogs to pest. If you love simple solutions to hard problems, then reCaptcha is for you. As a matter of fact with this simple plugin website all you will have to do is to sign-up and get an easy code to store into those web pages you wish to protect. Continue reading »
How many times after downloading a file, have you been wondering how to change the place where Firefox store it? Sometimes the desktop doesn’t look like a great place to store your downloads since it is already clogged by dozens of icons, right? Luckily for you guys here is a little trick which lets you change the location (folder) where Firefox stores those files you download from the Internet. Continue reading »

Just in case you missed the article of mine where I speak about the first free themes for Google Chrome, here is the link. Adding a new theme to Chrome can be a real pain in the butt, since you have to copy a special .dll file into a subfolder. That’s why somebody, tired of all this, decided to create XChrome. XChrome is a theme switcher…”it allows users to change the Chrome theme in seconds without having to move default.dll around and it allows you to view the author and various other details before installing. XChrome also allows users who do not have XChrome install to install themes by double clicking the themes .exe file, they are prompted to install the theme, they agree the theme is copied to Chromes Default.dll”. Firefox has got a nice feature which downloads all of those pages which thinks may be useful to its users in order to open them quickly upon request. Of course, this is one of those features which is well appreciated, since it is supposed to help people improve their Internet experience. But in an Internet world where almost everybody has got a cheap ADSL connection, well, this prefetching thing doesn’t make a lot of sense. Furthermore, Prefetching uses a lot, really a lot of resources from your computer, and this may result in a poor PC performance. Continue reading »
Google Chrome is here to stay. Thanks to it you can surf the web at light-speed. But what if you want to use it outside your environment, namely on another computer and without leaving all of your personal configurations and profiles? A very easy and simple solution is to download the already-available (Wow, that was so fast!) Google Chrome portable edition. Thanks to it, you will be able to store Google Chrome into your USB pen and use it wherever you are and, at the same time, be sure that your best configurations and passwords and bookmarks will always be with you. Toshiba has just unveiled its new ultraportable (and cheap) computer called NB100 Netbook. This little baby, apart from having an original and nice design, will be released next month in the UK for a price of £260 (or about $472). Continue reading »
