Personally, I just let the spammers spam, and delete it with akismet.. That way the users don’t need to pass any test and can give their full opinion.

Yes, that’s the way I do it too. Anyway, every now and then, something goes through. Let’s say that captcha is a surplus, something to use for your peace of mind
