One of the biggest troubles in Windows XP and Vista is the amount of memory usage that the processes eat up. Its is sufficient to press CTRL+ALT+CANC and click Start Manager to know what I am talking about. These processes slow the computer down by using a lot of RAM and CPU. Of course, you can always disable few of them by reading this guide here, or you can de-activate some services, in order to have a snappier computer. Anyway, even after applying these tricks, the best solution still remains the one to disable all of those services your computer doesn’t need in order to reduce the memory usage. But how to do that and how to know what processes your computer need to work? Now, thanks to a little freeware application, you won’t need to be a computer expert to make your computer run at speed-light. Let’s know the software that can do the dirty job for you!
Its name is CleanMem and, apart from being quite light, can really improve your PC performance by reducing your computer memory usage. The way it works is really simple. As a matter of fact, it automatically cleans the memory from unnecessary or unused processes without requiring you to do anything. It runs every 30 min via the Windows Task Scheduler so it won’t stay in the background sucking resources from your machine. Once it is finished it will shut down itself automatically waiting from the next call. CleanMem is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista & 2008. It comes in two versions: Normal (with the installer) and portable to take it with you. If you want to download it, click here.
