If you use the default Start Menu in Vista try this: 1) Click Start. 2) Now, press and hold the CTRL and SHIFT buttons and right-click in any empty are of the search box. 3) A menu should appear showing you two options, namely Exit Explorer and Properties. 4) Cick Exit Explorer. 5) To launch Explorer again go to Run..., and type Explorer.exe.
