Some time ago I wrote about a nice website (online pronouncing dictionary) called Forvo which, in a perfect Web 2.0 style, lets you learn whatever foreign language you wish. Today I want to speak about another nice website that does the same job but…better in my opinion.

Palabea is a very nice website whose purpose is to make you learn a foreign language thanks to its big variety of features. Its main goal is to put language students into communication with mother’s tongue people all over the world in order to let them learn a foreign language more efficiently as well as the culture the language represents . Reading from the website: “As an international community, Palabea connects people who share the same interests in learning languages and in discovering different cultures. People from all over the world can communicate via audio chat, video chat and text messages to practice foreign languages, to support others and of course to develop friendships around the world.”

With Palabea you will be able to:

  • Improve your foreign language thanks to native speakers from all over the world in audio or video conferences.
  • Learn a foreign language with video lessons and podcasts.
  • Learn grammar thanks to classrooms where people will have to complete tasks and homeworks with the help of other students.
  • Create your own content: record videolessons, record podcast, create documents.
  • We’ve invited only accredited education institutions to develop partnerships with us so that we can offer you the best language.
    learning content.
  • Meet new friends!
