xc mini

Some months ago, like a prophet on top of a mountain, I foretold  the upcoming cheap ultraportable war. That’s what is happening right now. Today, I want to wear the robe of the prophet again to foretell another prophecy. As a matter of fact, the next tendency seems to be the one involving micro PCs. These really small pcs are going to set up a harsh war in order to free up as much room as possible on our tables and destktops. It is sufficient to have a look at the micro pc tag to know what I am talking about. The micro PC I am going to describe is called XC mini MP45-BDR and it is produced by AOpen. Let’s see what its most important features are.

AOpen XC mini MP45-BDR mini PC features:

  • IntelGM45+ICH9M (Montevina) chipset.
  • Support for the new Intel Core 2 Duo (Penryn) processor
  • 4GB of RAM.
  • Built-in GMAX4500MHD graphics engine.
  • 6 USB 2.0 ports.

The best part is still to come anyway. As a matter of fact, as if all these incredible pieces of hardware stuffed into such a small case were not sufficient, AOpen has added to this micro PC a Blu-ray disc reader/DVD writer and HDCP Full HD 1080P playback with 5.1 channel surround sound output. If you want to know more, visit the official website.
