NEC Asia Pacific has just unveiled its new desktop computer Powermate P4000 and P6000 all-in-one. I quite like their design which is simple, essential and minimalist even though they are not the first of this kind. Apart from their features, which we are going to see better in detail, I consider these new desktop computers valid alternatives to the ones from famous computer companies which maybe, just because they are famous, make you pay a lot of bucks for their products. Ok, let’s see now what their most important specs are.

  • 1.9GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 processor.
  • 1 GB of RAM.
  • 250GB of hard disk.
  • NVIDIA GeForce 9100M G integrated graphic board.
  • 16-inch screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.
  • RF Wireless Keyboard with MCE Remote.
  • Slot-in DVD Super Multi DL +/-R (Double Layer)
  • Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium Edition.
  • P4000 will costs around $1,270.

NEC P6000

  • Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E7200 (2.53GHz 3M Cache).
  • 2 GB of RAM.
  • 500GB of hard disk
  • NVIDIA GeForce 9300 integrated graphic board.
  • 19-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels.
  • Integrated b/g/n Wireless LAN Adapter.

They will be both available in Asia starting from next week. No word about a next USA release.
