kogan-agoraIf you remember well, some months ago the whole world got completely amazed by the news that the first phone running Google Android operating system was unveiled and about to be released by the phone company T-Mobiles. A month right after that, Google released its proprietary Android operating system as open source for mobile platform. After these news you shouldn’t be surprise at all if the second G-phone is about to be release by the end of January 2009 in Australia.

In fact Kogan, an Australian online-only company  which has got wares producing customised electronic parts in China has recently stated  that the world second Google phone named “Agora” is ready to be shipped in Australia. The phone Agora is an unlocked (!) phone which will be sold in two versions: “Standard” for AU$299 or US$192 and “Pro” for AU$399 or US$256. Here is a brief list of its most important specs:

  • Unlocked phone working with all telephone companies around the world.
  • QWERTY keyboard.
  • 2.5-inch touchscreen display whose resolutions of  320 x 240.
  • 3G connectivity.
  • 2 megapixel camera (Pro version).
  • Bletooth antenna.
  • microSD card slot.
  • Wi-fi (Pro version).
  • GPS (Pro version).
