Lately I have been bombed and brain-washed by the TV, radio, Internet, newspapers, magazines ect. about the upcoming Nokia N97. Now, if you read Web Talk you know that I don’t care a lot about phones  and cameras but well, maybe you do. That’s why I have decided to gather some news about this so-called anti-iPhone phone to see if it is really worth speaking. Let’s see together all the fuss about the N97.

In this case I have to confess that Nokia has really put a lot of efforts in this new phone. I like it. It is sleek, polished and it has got a nice design. Well, nothing to say. At a first glance, as you can see in the picture, the phone has got a lot of character!  Nokia N97 sports:

  • Touchscreen display which once slided shows an elegant QWERTY keyboard.
  • 3.5-inch, 640 x 360 pixel display.
  • HSDPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access)which lets you download all the crap you want from the web at about 14 Mbit/s.
  • Wi-fi.
  • Bluetooth antenna.
  • GPS for geotagging.
  • 32GB of memory
  • Micro SD slot.
  • 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss glass.
  • S60 5th Edition OS.

The N97 will be shipped in the first months of 2009 and will cost €550  or $693. Holy crap! I can buy a wonderful laptop for that figure! Well, the phone is really good but the price is forbidding, above all if your first choice goes for laptops and computers.
