pogoThis is a great news for all of those people who are still in love with the old, good Polaroid instant camera. As a matter of fact, notwithstanding I already spoke of a Polaroid-like camera called Tomy xiao, the giant company Polaroid has recently unveiled a digital version of its world- famous instant camera called Polaroid PoGo Instant Digital Camera. Despite the fact that Polaroid missed the train of the digital instant cameras, this PoGo camera stands out for its quality as well as its tech-features which let Polaroid regain the lost ground.

Here are its most important features:

  • Snap, print, share without any need of a computer.
  • 2×3″ full-color, sticky-back prints. (!)
  • The pictures are water-proof, tear-resistant and Smudge-proof. No ink or ink cartridge is used thanks to ZINK Paper and ZINK Zero Ink printing technology.
  • Print in about 40 seconds.
  • You can also add an old styled border or a fun border  around the picture.
  • Save your picture in a SD card automatically.
  • 3.0″ bright color LCD for viewing images.

Polaroid PoGo Instant Digital Camera will be available in March 2009 for about $199. The ZINK photo paper costs $4.99 for the 10 picture pack and $12.99 for the 20 pictures pack. if you want to know more, visit Polaroid official website.
