unread-emailsIf you own a Gmail account you know that right after opening it, you will be able to see the number of unread e-mails in the title bar as well as  in the tab. However, if you open multiple tabs in the same page, the heading showing the number of unread messages will be squeezed so much that you won’t be able to see it anymore. Let’s see how we can solve this issue thanks to a little add-on.

Gmail Unread Message Count in Favicon (hey, what a fantasy!)  is a small add-on which lets you add the number of unread e-mail right on the side of the well known Gmail red envelope. Furthermore, the little number will become brighter if it becomes bigger. This add-on is particularly useful if you have a lot of tabs opened on the same page.  In order to take advantage of this little script you need to install Greasemonkey extension.
