downloadLet’s speak frankly. Even though Firefox is one of the best browsers available to surf the Internet, its download manager is not what you would call a “decent feature.” As a matter of fact, this small, even too simple tool, apart from popping-up on your screen even if you don’t need it, is quite inadequate to its important task. That’s why, above all if you are accustomed to download a lot of files from the Web, you might need something more suitable, professional and discreet for your needs.

Download Statusbar is a light add-on for your Firefox which lets you manage and view your downloads from from a tidy statusbar, without the download window bothering you during your web browsing. Additionally, each badge representing  a download contains all the information previously available in the Firefox tool namely: download status, time elapsed, time left and percent done. Here is a quick excerpt from the official website: “Despite its compact size, Download Statusbar packs in more useful features than the standard download window. The fully customizable interface auto-hides when not in use, allowing full control without interruption”.

If you want to know more or if you want to download it, visit the official website.
