windows 7By default, Windows 7 shows icons with no text in the Task Bar. If you are not accustomed to this, or if you just have a lot of icons, it may be quite difficult to recognize which icon is which.  Here is a simple trick to enable text on the right side of each icon.

  1. Right-click on any empty space of the Task Bar.
  2. Click Properties.
  3. A window  named Taskbar and Start Menu Proprieties should appear.
  4. Under the Taskbar tab, click the Taskbar Button drop-down menu.
  5. Select “Never Combine” or “Combine when Taskbar is full“.
  6. You can also tick the “Use small icons” checkbox.
  7. Click OK.
