vistaOK, this is not a real trick or a hack, but it is just a simple option which, if enabled, lets you have a feel of the next Microsoft operating system, Windows 7. So, let’s see how we can get those big Windows 7 icons, right in our taskbar in Windows Vista.

  1. Right-click on the taskbar.
  2. From the menu, deactivate the Lock the Taskbar option.
  3. Right-click on the taskbar again.
  4. From the menu, select Toobar and from its menu enable Quick Launch.
  5. On the left side of the taskbar you should now see a little group of icons. At the right end of them there should also be a kind of “handle”.
  6. Take the handle and drag it to the right in order to create some space.
  7. Right-click on this extra space you just created and from the menu, select View and Large Icons.
