Ok, Google really needs to give us all some kind of warning in advance, above all today, on Valentine’s day! As a matter of fact, starting this morning Google Adsense and Google Adwords are stuck! I almost had a coronary when, after around 4 hours from the first check I gave to my Adsense account, I log-in again to find out that I was stuck at .89 cents with only 250 page impression! Right after that disconcerting discovery I started checking my blog to see if I had been hacked or if I had done something wrong as far as my recent WordPress update was concerned. Once found that I was not the culprit of that weird Adsense activity I went to Google and I started scouring it, only to find out that this issue was reported all over the world. If you want to know more visit these two Webmaster World forum links here: Forum thread speaking about Adword, Forum thread speaking about Adsense. Lately Google is acting weird, if you ask me. Have a look at this other “unusual” activity where Google was reporting every site in the search result as harmful for your computer.
If you work with Windows Vista or XP on a daily basis you know only too well how these operating systems, despite they are efficient and easy to use, are far from being perfect and perfectly tailored for your needs. As a matter of fact, if you are accustomed to work using a lot of applications and files there is no place in Windows where you can have a wide view of what you need at first glance. The closest thing which looks like it is the Start Menu which, despite it offers a list of programs and utilities, is pretty approximate and rough and, in some case, confuse you more than anything else. You know what? I have to learn to shut up my mouth as far as my statements are concerned. In fact, if you remember well, in more than an occasion I said that I don’t like cameras and that Web Talk is not intended for cameras at all. I haven’t even set up a proper tag for this topic so, what was I looking for when I wrote about Polaroid PoGo and Tomy Xiao camera? I really don’t know. Honestly. Anyway, just for the joy of you guys, here is another camera which managed to captivate my full attention. Continue reading »

As you know the new Windows 7 (beta version) is out and you can download it for free, directly from Microsoft. Microsoft has closed its download period some days ago (on 11th February 2009 ), but if you want to download it, here are the links. One of the biggest issue coming right after the release of a new operating system is the general lack of drivers compatible with it. This issue won’t let you use the hardware and the peripherals in your computer, of course. Microsoft has released a new page where you can see and download for free the latest hardware drivers for your brand new Windows 7. Over there you can find a list containing the latest drivers for your Xbox controllers, keyboards, mice & IntelliMouse Explorer, webcams, headsets etc. Here is the link to the Microsoft Page: Microsoft Hardware Support for Windows 7 Beta.

While installing a new operating system it may happen that you mistype your name or surname as registered owner. This is quite annoying because usually, when you get aware of this, it’s too late cause you have already finished the installation procedure for good. At this point the only way to change or correct the name is to make a new clean installation. Useless to say, most people having this issue forget about it, since the procedure is quite long and boring. Here is a little hack to change the registered owner in all Windows editions when it looks like everything is lost. Continue reading »
