geforceDespite  Windows 7 is still in beta you can find already a lot of driver for it. As a matter of fact, some weeks ago I posted an article speaking about a nice Microsoft webpage containing the latest driver for Windows 7. Among the things you can  find on such a webpage you can download drivers for keyboard, mouse, webcam, headset etc.  Recently, Nvidia has released the first specially-designed for GeForce cards mounted on Windows 7 operating systems.

The new Nvidia GeForce drivers version 181.71 are available for both Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit and support Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM) 1.1 able to improve and enhance 2D and 3D application such as the famous 3D Windows Aero desktop. Here is a list of its most important features:

  • Installs WDDM v1.1 for GeForce 8, 9, and 200-series DirectX 10 GPUs.
  • Installs WDDM v1.0 for GeForce 6 and 7-series DirectX 9 GPUs.
  • Supports Direct3D, Direct2D, and DirectWrite.
  • Supports NVIDIA CUDA – Compute Unified Device Architecture.
  • Supports NVIDIA PhysX (this driver package automatically installs PhysX System Software version 9.09.0203 for all GeForce 8, 9, and 200-series GPUs).
  • Supports NVIDIA SLI on DirectX 9, DirectX 10, and OpenGL applications.

Here is the link to download Nvidia graphics driver version 181.71 for Windows 7 Beta (32-bit). Here instead you can find the link to download Nvidia graphics driver v181.71 for Windows 7 Beta (64-bit). If you want to know more or if you want to know of the next updates for such a driver, here is the official Nvidia webpage.
