Every now and then, while surfing the Web, Windows might return the following error message: “Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience”. At this point, no matter what you do, you won’t be able to get the Internet connection back anymore. Here are a couple of fixes to this issue.
First method
- Click Start.
- Click Run, type regedit and press Enter.
- Locate the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ CurrentControlSet\ Services\Browser\Parameters
- In the right pane double-click on the IsDomainMaster subkey and set it to False.
- Click OK.
- Restart your computer for the change to take effect.
Second method
- Click Start
- Click Run, type cmd and press Enter.
- In the command prompt type netsh and hit Enter.
- Right after that type rest and hit Enter again.
- Restart your computer for the change to take effect.
Third method
Install this patch, provided by Microsoft.
