After the release of the new Amazon Kindle 2, it was only normal that other companies, following and sniffing all the excitement this device aroused in the Internet,  would release similar products. But what Fujitsu did is something really unique which overcomes the Kindle 2 in many ways.  As a matter of fact, if you think that black and white colors are too ordinary for your e-book reader, here is your change to add some color to your favorite e-papers!

Fujitsu FLEPia is  the first e-book reader available on the market (available in Japan only so far).  FLEPia features an 8-inch XGA display screen with up to 260,000 colors in high-definition. Other features include:

  • Bluetooth and Wi-fi integrated antenna.
  • Up to 4GB via SD Card allowing you to store up to 5000 e-books!
  • 40 hours autonomy with one full charge.
  • it comes with a real operating system, namely Microsoft Windows CE5 which lets you also surf the Internet thanks to its integrated browser.

The device, as previously mentioned, is available only in Japan so far. It is a little priced anyway. In fact it cost around $1000.
