I have already written about how to permanently delete your files from your computer  in another post I wrote last year. Anyway, since I feel that one never speaks enough of such a topic, I have decided to write another post  to help you destroy your private information beyond recovery.

Freeraser is a freeware application which lets you securely and permanently destroy your private documents, including industrial secrets or some unwanted content once and for all, and with the sureness that nobody will ever be able to recover them. This software also destroys the data you choose before the deletion, using a complicated procedure of filling the actual content with random data. Its most important features are:

• a fast destruction (standard 1-round filling of random data)
• a forced destruction (3 rounds of filling according to DoD 5220.22M standard)
• an ultimate destruction (35 rounds of filling with data according to Guttman algorithm).
• It comes in two versions: Installer and portable application.
