Apple has recently released on  iTunes a special Skype version for iPhone and iPod. Now you will be able to make phone really low  calls directly from your iPhone and iPod or even free chat and talk with your friends via Skype-to-Skype calls. Skype needs to work a WiFi, 3G, EDGE or GPRS connection.
