Just think of the Web 2.0. There are already plenty of applications out there: from online photo editors to world-like applications, and now even online operating systems. Wouldn't be nice to grab this stuff and put it in your computer? And, if after a couple of days you are bored by them, you will be able to change them with something different or better! I see all this as a possible future and all the clues I see around make me believe that it's not that far!
