vistaIf you want to better organize your computer, you can create a special sub-folder, stuff it with files, applications and shortcuts you use mostly, and place it  in the Quick Launch folder. Such a folder is located in C: Documents and Settings- yourusername - Application Data – Microsoft – Internet Explorer – Quick Launch. All this procedure will create a folder in the Quick Launch toolbar letting you reach whatever you stuffed in it in just one click. Anyway, since there is no limit to enhancements, you can improve this trick and add a nice-looking cascading menu to this recently-created folder. Let’s see how we can achieve this result.

  1. Click Start.
  2. In the Search bar, type regedit and press Enter.
  3. Locate this registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Explorer Advanced.
  4. In the right pane, right-click and create a new REG_DWORD value. Name it CascadeFolderBands and set its value  to 1 .
  5. Restart your computer for the change to take effect.
