By default, Internet Explorer 8 doesn’t allow you to download more than 8 files at a time. This limit, which for many people may look like quite high, it’s not that big for those users who are accustomed to download a lot of stuff from the Internet. Here is a little hack to increase the number of connections and increase the limit of downloads to whatever number you like.

1. Open your Notepad and copy and paste the following code:

2. Save the document as Increase_connections.reg (the file has to be save as .reg).
3. Dobule click the file you have just created to merge its content in the registry.
4. Restart your computer for the change to take effect.
