Lenovo has just unveiled its new ultraportable, cheap computer called IdeaPad S12 featuring an interesting and powerful NVIDIA’s Ion chipset, specifically tailored for high-definition video and Blu-ray playback.  This means that users will be able to watch video played at 1080p HD resolution.

Other features include:

• HDMI-out port to let users display high-definition video on a big screen and flat TV.
• 12.1-inch WXGA display with a 1280 x 800 resolution.
• Intel Atom N270 processor.
• NVIDIA Ion chipset.
• Up to 1 GB of RAM.
• Up to 160 GB of HDD.
• WiFi Link 5150 1X2 AGN, Intel WiFi Link 5100 1X2 AGN, Non-Intel wireless b/g, Non-Intel wireless b/g/n.
• Bluetooth 2.0.
• Windows XP SP3.
• Available in Black and White.

Lenovo IdeaPad S12 will be available in June 2009 for a price of $449 for basic Intel specs, and $500 ($499.99) for full NVIDIA features.
