If you want to know its most important features, click here. Internet Explorer 8 was released 0n March 19, 2009 for all major Microsoft operating systems with the exception of Windows 7 which already comes bundled with it. Among its most important improvements I would like to remember its InPrivate mode also known as “Porn Mode” letting you surf the Internet and be sure that no fingerprints will be left on the computer you are using, Webslices, SmartScreen Filter to block phishing sites, CSS and JavaScript debugging directly from the browser, RSS enhancements, Suggested Sites list etc. If you want to download and install Internet Explorer 8 you have just to go to Windows Update or Microsoft Update on your Microsoft operating system and look for new updates. However, if you wish not to get Internet Explorer 8 by using these ways, but you are looking for a standalone package to save it in your computer and use it whenever you wish, here are some useful links for you.

I went to your link (Vista, 32 bit) and after the download, it wouldn’t install, with the message I had a later version already installed. I recently installed SP2, that might be the reason.

If you like Trident Engine ,I suggest use the Avant browser. The download is relatively small, the interface is extremely stable, mouse gestures and dockable tabs. Pop-up and ad blocking are excellent. The
ability to block ActiveX, images, Java, and more “on the fly” is superb.
