The latest Firefox version namely Firefox 3.5 is getting a step closer to the final release with its latest build which has recently reached RC1 (Release Candidate 1). This new release is the seventh development milestone of Firefox 3.5. What follows is a list of its improvements and the link where to download it.
Here is a brief list of Firefox 3.5 RC1 recent improvements and bugfixes:
- Firefox 3.5 (Release Candidate) is based on the Gecko 1.9.1 rendering platform.
- It is available in more than 70 languages.
- Improved tools for managing your private and sensitive data.
- Better performance for the new TraceMonkey Javascript engine.
- Ability to provide Location Aware Browsing using web standards for geolocation.
- Better support for latest Internet technologies such as HTML5 <video> and <audio> elements, downloadable fonts and other new CSS properties, JavaScript query selectors, HTML5 offline data storage for applications, and SVG transforms.
If you wish to download Firefox 3.5 RC1 which, I would like to point out, is just intended to developers and beta testers, here is the link.

One of the best things for me about Firefox is a plug in called Adblock plus, which lets you browse most websites without all the nuisance advertisements.

So far I’ve used IE 6,7, & 8, Chrome, and now Firefox 3.5 RC1. The last 3 are on my toolbar. Hope I like Firefox better than Chrome. Be sure and watch the video trailer (why is it called a trailer? It doesn’t come after something, it actually precedes it); it’s very cute. The grandkids won’t be seeing that movie. At least the spell checker is automatic so you don’t have to search for it.
