Toshiba has just unveiled its new ultraportable computer called Satellite U500. This new model officially launches Toshiba into the ultraportable market. Despite the fact that its  price is not cheap, the new U500 adds so many interesting features, all missing from the “official” ultraportable computers, that it is really worth being noticed and reviewed!

Toshiba Satellite U 500 sports:

• 13.3-inch WXGA Toshiba TruBrite display with resolution of 1280 x 800 pixel.
• Intel Core 2 Duo processor.
• Up to 8 Gb of RAM.
• Up to 500 GB of HDD.
• ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 GPU graphics with 512MB of DDR3 VRAM.
• HD web cam (!).
• Bluetooth 2.1
• Wifi.
• 5-in-1 media card slot and an  HDMI port.
• Face Recognition software.
• battery with up to 3.5 hours of autonomy.
• Measures:  317 x 230.6 x 29.5 mm.

The new Toshiba Satellite U500 is going to be available next month in Europe staring from €699 (around $980).
