Samsung has recently announced a new Solid State Drive (SSD) which will be able to fit into a mini-PCIe card, whose capacity can reach up to 64 GB in a form-factor nearly 80-percent smaller than a 2.5-inch drive. The new little SSD is intended not only for netbooks but as a secondary or complementary drive for regular notebooks. Samsung mini-PCIe SSD weights only 8.5g and it can read at 200MB/s and write at 100MB/s. It supports full-drive encryption and is shock-resistant.

Now that is something I can use. I am trying to resurrect an old hp laptop that has a 9 GB(!) HDD. However, I doubt it has a PCIe slot. Any pricing available?
