No dear, it didn't work...
I think that the annoying restart loop is to prevent us from using the pirated verson. And why shouldn't I? Just look at the cost of this O.S. it's really too costly for a middleclass boy with small earning...

encountered the restart loop at the post boot using Windows 7 ultimate 64. The F8 option did not function as it would reboot prior to executing. tried to clear cmos and no luck. After about 10 mins of troubleshooting, tried removing flash drives which where being used as readyboost, and startup succesful. Apparently formatting the readyboost drives to exfat was the culprit, I chose exfat as the allocation unit size was smaller. reformatted to fat and no more issues.

The rebooting is not because of system failure
it's because the trial version serial end now
and they want to prevent you from using it.

I've never had Vista go into a reboot loop. Actually, I haven't had Vista reboot in several months. It used to at first, but seems pretty stable now. It slows to a crawl some times, but IE 8 will shutdown an open window at times, then ask to reopen. I'm now I'm using Chrome most of the time, with rarely a problem, except playing some videos on MSN.com.
