After the chilling statement of the world-famous dev team who, a few weeks, ago, stated not to release the new jailbreak for the iPhone 3G 3.0 firmware because they didn’t  want Apple to fix the bug through which the jailbreak works, an independent guy has took over releasing the first jailbreak for the new Apple phone. The reason behind the dev team statement was that they feared not to be able to find any other bug in the iPhone. In their opinion, releasing the jailbreak would allow Apple to fix the famous bug, thus creating a virtual un-jailbreakable iPhone. However, a guy whose name is George Hotz (nickname: Geohot) in his website stated: “Normally I don’t make tools for the general public, and rather wait for the dev team to do it. But guys, whats up with waiting until 3.1? That isn’t how the game is played. We release, Apple fixes, we find new holes. It isn’t worth waiting because you might have the “last” hole in the iPhone. What last hole…this isn’t golf. I’ll find a new one next week.”  Right after that, he released its jailbreak called Purplera1n. What follows is an easy step-to-step guide to unlock your iPhone 3gS 3.0 firmware!

1. Download Purplera1n jailbreak file from here (available for Windows and Mac).
2. Install the latest iTunes in your computer.
3. Connect your iPhone 3GS 3.0 to the computer.
4. Double click Purplera1n to start it.
5. Now, Click “make it ra1n”.
6. Just wait a couple of minutes. On bootup, run Freeze, the purplera1n installer app.
7. Follow Instruction.
8. Done! Ehm..as easy as 1,2,3!
