If you use Microsoft Exel for work or leisure and you share its spreadsheets with your coworkers or friends, you might want to hide certain tabs from view to prevent people from poking around and reading things and information they are not supposed to. Here is a trick which hides Microsoft Excel tabs from view once for good.
- Open your Excel spreadsheet.
- Press ALT+F11 to open the Visual Basic editor.
- At the top of the left pane select the tab you wish to hide.
- At the bottom of the left pane locate the Properties for the tab you want to hide.
- Now, go to the Visible setting open the dropdown menu and select 0 -xlSheetHidden.
- Go back to the top of the left pane, right-click VBAProject and select VBAProject Properties.
- Select Protection Tab.
- Thick the Lock project for viewing checkbox.
- Chose a password and type it in the password field. Confirm it in the field below.
- Click OK.
- Go to the menu, click File and select Save.
- Done! If you go back to your spreadsheet you will notice that the tab you wanted to hide from view is not there anymore!
