One of the most irritating things when it comes to Windows 7 settings is its unwanted feature to change all of the desktop icons once you change its theme. Here is a fast and easy trick to prevent Windows 7 from tampering your desktop icons.

1. Right-click any empty space on your descktop.
2. Click Personalize from the menu.
3. In the left pane, select Change desktop icons.
4. Go to the bottom of the window and untick the Allow themes to change desktop icons checkbox.
5. Click  OK.
6. Done!
