As you know, Microsoft operating systems already have their own, built-in Windows Task Manager. The big flaw of it is that it is too simple and provides its users with limited, basic options. If you are looking for something more complete, comprehensive and free, maybe you should try DTaskManager.

DTaskManager is a great utility providing you with a lot of features and options to play with such as the ability to hide one or more windows,  run programs as different users, and see the modules running in Kernel space and their associated paths. Other features include:

  • Three different ways to close a process, as the “termination request”, the standard “forced termination” with dialogue tolerance, and the “forced termination” of any type of process, bypassing all permissions.
  • DTaskManager allows you to suspend and reactivate a process (as in Linux).
  • DTaskManager allows you to select more than one process at a time, and terminate all of them “simultaneously”.
  • DTaskManager does not need any useless confirmation.
  • It is compatible with Windows 2000/XP/VISTA
