firefoxIf you own a mouse equipped with a small wheel on top of it, you know how easy and nice is to visit and scroll webpages. In fact, by scrolling the wheel up and down you are able to navigate through a website in a faster and more responsive way. However, you may not be satisfied with the way your wheel scrolls. In fact it can be too slow or too fast. Let’s see how to change the mouse scrolling speed in Firefox thanks to a little but helpful  hack!

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. In the address bar type about:config and press Enter.
  3. Click “I’ll be careful, I promise!” to proceed.
  4. In the filter box, type mousewheel.withnokey and press Enter.
  5. Locate mousewheel.withnokey.sysnumlines, right-click it and from the menu click Toggle.
  6. Right after clicking Toggle, the default value will change from True to False.
  7. Now  right click mousewheel.withnokey.numlines and click Modify.
  8. Modify the number accordingly to your need. The higher the number, the faster the scrolling speed.
  9. When you are done restart the brwoser for the change to take effect.
