To make our lives easier, the Mozilla team has stuffed in FireFox a helpful utility whose task is to store all our usernames and passwords in order to accelerate the process of signing-in to websites. With such a nice tool, most people have forgot to write all these sensitive data down, on a piece of paper. So, what happen when you do not remember a password which is stored in your FireFox? Here is a simple, free tool to retrieve your most important passwords from FireFox.
PasswordFox is an extremely interesting utility able to extract and show you your passwords and usernames stored in FireFox. Reading from the website: “PasswordFox is a small password recovery tool that allows you to view the user names and passwords stored by Mozilla FireFox Web browser. By default, PasswordFox displays the passwords stored in your current profile, but you can easily select to watch the passwords of any other FireFox profile.”
This utility work under Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Vista.

I feared somebody would write something like this! Teorically speaking, this software also shows other infos such as Record Index, Web Site, User Name, Password, User Name Field, Password Field, Signons filename and usernames and passwords of any Firefox profile. Pratically speaking, you are right. Let’s say that this is another way to display all this stuff in an easier way! By the way, it also saves and backups all the passwords to a small XML or HTML file.
