showdesktop

When we work on our computers we tend to open as many windows as possible till we stop and  think: “Where is my desktop?”. The only solution to solve this issue is to minimize each window one at the time. Here is a quick, nice application to minimize all open windows to display your desktop right away!

Show Desktop is a small software that does something quite simple. It minimizes all of your opened Windows in your taskbar in one second! Show Desktop was created for Windows 7 but also works as a replacement for Windows Show Desktop icon in the taskbar on Windows 2000, XP and Vista. The software runs on Windows 2000, XP, Vista or Windows 7 (Works on both 32-bit & 64-bit operating systems).

  1. James Rosendahl Says:

“Show Desktop” came as part of my Windows Vista Home Premium (32) on both of my systems. One is a Dell Desktop and the other an HP Pavilion.

    Just press winkey + M

But should you want to CLOSE all open applications … here is a great little utility you can easily pin to your start menu, or put on your desktop. http://www.lucersoft.com/files/free/closeall.zip

Does this program offer anything other than showing the desktop? If not, isn’t it just one more program that duplicates what we already have? A “show desktop” shortcut is free and easy to make. Even quicker is the keyboard shortcut Win-D (Windows key + D).
