I have already written about how to download and save your whole Gmail account. But what are you going to do if you have other email accounts and you wish, without a lot of hassle, to backup and transfer your email messages from one server to another one? Well, I have just found a free solution for this issue! In fact, this simple Java application will let you protect your most valuable emails by copying all of them over IMAP.
Mail Carbon is a free solution for those people who wish to backup, without worries, all their email messages and have them transferred from one server to another one of choice (By the way, it also works with Gmail accounts!). Just fill in the program form with the source, destination host-names and user credentials and you are done! If you use Vista, be careful! Make sure you run the software with administrator privileges.
If you want to download it, visit the official website.
