Downloading from Bittorent websites has become one of the most important activities for a lot of users. As a matter of fact, from these sharing websites you can grab anything, both legal and illegal. For some reason, the new Windows 7 seems to be incompatible with one of the most used bittorrent client available, uTorrent. In fact, the new Microsoft operating system won’t allow uTorrent to work and run properly with the obvious result that it will be impossible to download anything. Here is a quick trick to fix this issue.
If you don’t manage to open and run your uTorrent client on your Windows 7, try this simple trick:
- Right-click the uTorrent client on your Desktop.
- Click Properties from the context menu.
- Now, click the Compatibility tab.
- Tick the Run this program as an administrator box.
- Tick the Run this program in compatibility mode for box and, at the same time, select the Windows Vista option.
- Now open uTorrent.
- Click Preferences.
- Click the Advanced section.
- Select Disk Entry located on the left.
- Tick the Disable Windows caching of disk writes and Disable Windows caching of disk reads boxes.
- Click OK.
