windows-live-msn-messengerI have already written about this issue in a lot of ways. In fact, for some reason it seems quite easy to forget MSM Messenger passsword. However, it also seems very easy to recover MSN passwords thanks to free applications!  Talking about private stuff, I’d like to remind you that if you want you can also view contact details of your friends in Windows Live Messenger. If you want to change your MSN Messenger private password before you forget it, or simply because you want to make sure that nobody will be able to discover it, I have got the right procedure. It works for  Windows Live Hotmail and MSN Messenger, Windows Live ID common logon service.

  1. Go to this web page: https://account.live.com/ChangePassword.aspx
  2. If you are prompted by the website, login to Windows Live service using your private Windows Live ID.
  3. At this point, you will be redirected to a “Change your password” web page.
  4. Fill in the form with your old password, New Password, and then Retype your New MSN Messenger Password. If you dont know what password to pick, visit these links. They will teach you how to choose strong passwords. Here is a Microsfot webpage letting you know if your password is strong enough. Stay away from simple passwords since they end up being the most used password in the Internet!
  5. If you want to further increase your security, simply tick the  Make my password expire every 72 days option. This will force you to change your Messenger chat client password.
  6. Click Save.
