Latest laptops have got incredible batteries able to last hours before dying. Usually, these latest generation batteries are able to last around 3-4 hours or even more in some cases. However, after upgrading your operating system with new hotfixes which add more eating resources processes, installing new applications, running different programs at the same time, your battery won’t last more than 2 hours, if you are lucky! A couple of days ago, I have found an interesting, free application able to monitor your battery and help you prolong and save your laptop’s batter life.
BatteryCare is a free tool able to optimize and prolong your battery life. The list of features embedded in this tiny tool is really huge so, I won’t posts anything on this article. Just keep in mind that among its features you will be able to find: Battery’s discharge cycles monitoring, detailed battery information, automatic power plans etc.
If you want to download this application, visit the official website.

Knowing the battery discharge cycles is very important, without proper discharge a battery being charged over and over again results in destroying the cells that hod charge. The piece of free software above is a good suggestion for battery care.
