windows 7As you know, Microsoft has excluded the famous Windows Calendar application from its latest operating system, Windows 7. For those users who are nostalgic about this great tool, I have recently find a way to install it on your computer. The application is the original Windows application available in Windows Vista and should not give you any issues on your Windows 7.

  1. Go to C:\Program Files.
  2. Create a new folder and name it Windows 7 Calendar.
  3. Now, Download…
  4. Extract its content in the folder you just created.
  5. Open the Windows 7 Calendar folder.
  6. Right-click the WinCal.exe icon and select Pin to taskbar option.
  7. To use the tool, simply click the Windows Calendar shortcut on the taskbar.

Forget Windows Calendar. I highly recommend everyone that is searching for a replacement for the old Windows Calendar check out VueMinder Calendar Lite. it’s free, beautifully designed, and a great replacement for Windows Calendar. I used Windows Calendar when I had Vista, but once I found VueMinder there was no turning back. It’s superb!
