To tell you the truth I am fully aware that there is an embedded option which lets you hide the Windows Taskbar panel in Windows 7.  But how annoying is to enable it by changing your Windows 7 settings! Here is a simple, free tool which will let you hide the taskbar  by pressing a user-defined hot key.

TaskBar Hider is a simple application to hide the Windows TaskBar panel. The way its works is rather simple. Install it, press the WIN+X key (by default) to hide or show the TaskBar. That’s it!
