windows 7How many times has it happened to you to put your computer in sleep mode, accidentally hit or move the mouse and wake it back? Personally speaking it happens to me all the time since I am quite inattentive! So, what follows is a brief tutorial to make sure that nothing is going to wake your PC up once you put it…to bed!

  1. Click Start.
  2. Click Control Panel.
  3. Now, click Hardware and Sound.
  4. Under the Devices and Printers section, click Mouse.
  5. Open the Hardware tab and click the Properties button located at the end of the window.
  6. Click the Change settings button.
  7. Click the Power Management tab.
  8. Untick Allow the device to wake this computer.
  9. Click OK.
