Are you in a hurry? Don’t you like to see the hated Windows Live introduction every time you open the application which, among the other things, makes you also loose precious nanoseconds which you could dedicate to other activities? Here is a quick hack to disable it once for all!
- Click Start.
- In the Search field, type regedit and press Enter.
- Go to this registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\Microsoft\ Windows Mail\NoSplash
- Double click it and set its value to 1.
- Click OK.
- Restart your computer for the change to take effect.
If you do not have the NoSplash key, let’s create it:
- (from point 3) Right-click on any empty space on the right pane.
- Click New and DWORD (32-bit Value)
- Type NoSplash and press Enter.
- Assign 1 as value (to disable the splash screen)
- Go to step 5 above

It didn’t work here. I tried first with HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\Microsoft\ Windows Mail\NoSplash.
I found that there was also HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\Microsoft\ Windows Live Mail and tried NoSplash with it too, but TNA.
Any idea?
