If you visit a website which is not in your own language, Firefox gives you the opportunity to download a nice add-on  which lets you use Google Translation API to translate everything in a couple of steps.

The way it works is amazing simple. Just Select a text to be translated and click the menu-button (it will have the default language) seen next to “Translate to” label seen at the right bottom of the status bar.  Users can choose the “from language” from the corresponding menu in order to by-pass the default auto-detection of the same. Google Translate  translates from/to the following languages:

  • English
  • Arabic
  • Bulgarian
  • Chinese
  • Chinese (Simplified)
  • Chinese (Traditional)
  • Croatian
  • Czech
  • Danish
  • Dutch
  • Finnish
  • French
  • German
  • Greek
  • Hindi
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Norwegian
  • Polish
  • Portuguese
  • Romanian
  • Russian
  • Spanish
  • Swedish
  • etc.

If you want to know more about this add on and you wish to download it, visit this Firefox webpage. If you are interested to other article talking on how to translate read Translate with Google translate client, Google Translator toolkit and Translate text and website with this Firefox add-on.
