A nasty feature of these super cookies is that they are not deletable at all. They are installed in special folders and track whatever website you visit. If you are concerned about your privacy, I have got a nice add-on for you!

Better Privacy is an add-on for Firefox which protects you against not deletable longterm cookies, a new generation of “Super-Cookies”.  They are installed by Flash plugins in central system folders and are protected from deletion. Here is a brief list of Better Privacy features:

  • Install and forget add-on. Once the add-on is installed no action is required on your side.
  • Automatic deletion feature.
  • Review, protect or delete new Flash-cookies individually.
