windows 7If you are familiar with the term DOS Prompt you know that, in order to access it you have to click Start, type cmd in the Search field and press Enter. Right after that a black window will appear on your screen. Such a window,lets you use a lot of commands to access Windows folders, executes applications etc. If you do not like the boring black background with the white text and you wish to change them, I have got a nice solution for you.

  1. Click Start.
  2. In the Search field, type cmd and press Enter.
  3. Now use these command colors:
  4. 0 = Black
    1 = Blue
    2 = Green
    3 = Aqua
    4 = Red
    5 = Purple
    6 = Yellow
    7 = White
    8 = Gray
    9 = Light Blue
    A = Light Green
    B = Light Aqua
    C = Light Red
    D = Light Purple
    E = Light Yellow
    F = Bright White

  5. This is the command you have to use: command (color1)(color2). If you use only one color, the command will change the text only. If you use two colors, the first command will change the background and the second one will change the text. Ex: color 2b  ; color 6a ; color 2.
  6. To reset the defualt color, simply type color.
  7. Enjoy!
