If you use Gmail account to send and receive your personal emails you should be familiar with the terms advertising, ads and sponsored links. In fact, they are literally scattered everywhere in your Gmail email window. Sometimes you hardly notice them while other times there are so many ads that you can’t concentrate on what you are doing. Here is a simple tool to get rid, remove advertisements once for good.
MozillaFirefox
If you use Mozilla Firefox, download this Greasemonkey add-on. As stated on the webpage: “It allows you to customize the way a webpage displays using small bits of JavaScript”. This add-on will let you install this tiny script here, called Gmail without Ads.
Alternatively, and in order to make easier, you can also download this add-on called WebMail Ad Blocker which: “Block and hide ads on the right hand side of the screen when using Yahoo Mail, Hotmail and Gmail thereby expanding your message space.”
Google Chrome
If you use Google Chrome, Install this extension called Gmail Hide Sponsored Links. Done!

Just add the url’s – that the ads link to – to “Restricted Sites” under IE security. .. which is under “tools and internet options”
That also takes the nasties out of the inline test advertising AND the Google RSS reader
Even easier is to make a reg file and import it. Here is the one I use that kills the majority of them:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
;disable web page text advertising
